AIMS OF THE COURSE
The course is designed to give students an educational mix of academic qualifications and practical skills which may be used to enter employment or to progress to higher education. Thanks to their well-rounded professional training in– food production, food service and accommodation operations – and their general and technical education, particularly in the field of management and communication, the holders of Baccalaureat Technologique will secure technical assistant management positions.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND DURATION OF THE COURSE

1-   3-year course for students who have entered Seconde Specifique
2- 2-year course for students who have entered 1ère d’Adaptation (cf. BEP Courses)

COURSE DETAILS
The hospitality industry comprises a wide range of establishments from traditional hotels and restaurants to school canteens and cafeterias to food service in nursing homes. As a result the students are given a well-rounded training in food preparation and cooking and food and drink service as well as in accommodation operations.along with a solid and technological education in which management and communication in French and in foreign languages occupy a primary place.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Students who successfully complete the course will have the opportunity to progress to higher education programmes such as the HND in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management.

HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA in HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

AIMS OF THE COURSE
Students will complete a 2-year course with the choice between 2 options in the second year

Option A : Marketing and . Accounting
Option B : Cuisine, Food and Drink Service Management

It aims at giving students an educational mix of academic qualifications and technical skills which are required in order to secure a supervisory position within the hospitality industry. Students will be encouraged to develop the technical, managerial and personal skills in order to be able
- to take on responsibilities in the professional relationships with customers and management
-
   to supervise ,manage and train teams and individuals to achieve objectives
 
- to exercise their business skills in developing sales activities.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1- HND is a 2-year course for students who have passed BTEC in Catering & Hospitality
2-  It is a 3-year course for applicants with a Baccalaureat Général – equivalent to A levels., the first year year being a 'special programme‘ year or conversion year.

In both cases an application followed by an interview is required.
